Dating is never easy but dating when you have a few more years under your belt can be particularly tough. People in their 40s are more set in their ways and no exactly what they want, the dating pool is smaller, and for women in particular finding a partner at this age can feel especially impossible. Then comes along online dating and things get an extra level of complicated. If you are frustrated with online dating and you are in your 40s this is the article for you! P.S. Give DragonFruit a shot!
In the roundup we like to feature some anti advice, the things you just shoulsnt listen to at all. A common dating advice trip is the classic “put yourself out there”. Helen Zook from Cosmo has some input on why this is terrible advice and you need to stop telling it to people. “Dating doesn’t always make sense. But in that case, you shouldn’t just copy and paste a cliché. If you’re drawing a blank, it’s way more productive (for your friendship and the introvert’s love life) to admit you’re at a loss, commiserate together, and Google the hell out of it.” Check out the article in full for all of the reasons it’s time to come up with something new and stop telling your friends to PUT THEMSELVES OUT THERE!
